First Day of the First Seminar! (Day 3: Monday, 31 May 2010)

We started off with devotions and teacher training. During the training, we did a skit to show us how to react to the kids and their behaviors. Then we studied the lessons that we were going to teach the kids.

The group drew children's different behaviours such as "quiet", "hyper", " out of a hat and we proceeded to have a real-life small group.

After preparing our lessons, we went to the church to set up the CI. We taught the kids the lesson of what a blessing really is. Afterward, we gathered for our first large group session. During which Victor, Toby, Martha, Scilla, Lewis, Jeremy, Laura, Konner and Tim acted out an exaggerated story of Abraham’s life.

We had another small group session, did another craft with the kids, then went back to our hotel and had a “cool down” session. In the cool down session we talked about our groups, our kids, and how we could improve the next day. We also sang some songs, had prayer, and went to bed.
